Baked with Heart and Tradition
We believe bread should be more than food—it should be an experience of comfort, connection, and care.
In a world where so much feels rushed, we slow down. Every loaf is our way of bringing artisan sourdough bread and wholesome nourishment back to the community. When bread is made simply and honestly, it has the power to bring people together.
Our Story
We’re sisters—Kalyn and Emily—and we started Baxters with a simple goal: to bring real sourdough and handcrafted baking back to our hometown.
Growing up, bread was never just something on a plate—it was the smell that welcomed you home, the heart of family gatherings, and the kind of memory you carry for years. We wanted to recreate that feeling, not just for ourselves but for everyone who walks through our doors.
Today, our bakery is a place where tradition, family, and flavor meet. We’re proud to be a family-owned bakery in Northern California, rooted in heart, tradition, and simplicity.
What Makes Our Bakery Unique
Everything we bake starts the same way: with care, patience, and simple, honest ingredients.
Our sourdough is slow-fermented, hand-shaped, and baked with love, using only flour, water, salt, and our matured starter. But our craft doesn’t stop there. From that same commitment to time-honored methods come our bagels, pastries, cookies, brownies, and seasonal treats—each one made from scratch, in small batches, and with the same attention to detail.
Why our baked goods are different:
🥖 Slow fermentation builds rich flavor and better texture in everything from loaves to rolls.
🥖 Small-batch baking means consistency, freshness, and care you can taste.
🥖 We use real ingredients—no shortcuts or unnecessary additives.
🥖 With large viewing windows inside and out, you can watch the entire process unfold.
🥖 Transparency matters—we want you to know exactly what you’re enjoying.
We choose quality over quantity so every loaf, roll, or sweet bite reflects honesty, tradition, and the simple joy of something made by hand.
While our sourdough breads will always be the heart of what we do, our cinnamon rolls, cookies, brownies, and seasonal pastries remind us—and our community—that good baking connects people in every form.
